Mathematics is required in almost all affairs of life. It plays a significant role in the making of engineers and managers. It is the subject that helps a great deal in being a skilled engineer or manager. From the beginning of civilization to till now, it is indispensable tool of development. As an important human endeavours, it has come to be recognised as the language of science. It is one of the oldest academic subjects and is one of the most mature and well-developed disciplines of basic science. Mathematics, the study of quantity, structure, shape, space and change, is used an essential tool in natural sciences, engineering and management.
Considering these facts, the Department of Mathematics, SCE&M provides services to the entire institute for UG/PG students of engineering and management. The department faculties impart the knowledge of Engineering Mathematics and Business Mathematics in each new methods that makes the students use mathematical methods in their engineering and management. The aim of the department is to pursue excellence in Mathematics through teaching. Our focus is to produce engineers and managers equiped with modern mathematical tools and having a strong understanding real-world engineering and managerial problems. We strive to inculcate analytical and logical skills in future engineers and managers by outcome based teaching-learning practices. We are achieving our objectives with the help of significantly experienced faculties..
